Lead Pre-Sales Consultant - Network Engineering – Permanent role @ Verizon Business, Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• The resource will provide presale technical support for Data, VoIP, and traditional Voice to our Premier Accounts. The resource is a strong technical sales resource and advocate for products and applications with a strong strategic partnership/consultative client orientation.
• Primary responsibility is to work closely with Sales to protect and grow revenue through strategic sales/account planning and solution selling.
• The resource would be considered a technical expert on major, complex RFP/RFI customer premises based opportunities.
• In addition, the resource will be looked to mentor and provide guidance to other sales engineers (Inside SE and Field SE) and AM/CAM positions on their team.
• Responsibilities include technical presentations, network design, proposal writing, pricing, quoting and client technical service management.
• The resource will work with vendor engineering/support and Verizon Business product marketing, customer service, operations, and subcontractors to develop and implement solutions for the assigned customer base.
• The selected candidate is required to have an in-depth working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines including IT/Data/Voice/Video applications, convergence technologies, IP-based technologies and Security strategies.
• Demonstrated expertise in premise-based equipment, security, managed services, convergence solutions (VoIP/IPT), integrated solutions, equipment hosting, MPLS/IP-VPN, LAN/WAN switching and routing, and traditional Voice services is needed.


• 7+ years in the telecommunications, information technology, and/or systems integration industries.
• 5+ years previous sales engineering or technical sales consulting.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related degree.
• Intermediate to advanced product (Cisco, Nortel, Avaya, Juniper, Microsoft, etc.) certifications.
• Excellent command of the English language (oral & written).

Additional Qualifications:

• The resource possesses and displays a comprehensive knowledge of Verizon product and service offerings within their respective discipline.
• The resource must also possess the technical knowledge to be cross-functional in additional disciplines and be able to assume the lead technical role or one of support.
• The technical knowledge of the resource in a discipline should include but not be limited to: Nortel and Fujitsu voice products, Cisco Nortel, Vtel, PictureTel, other data products, network service offerings such as Ethernet, MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, Centrex, IP, Managed Solutions, long distance as well as all transport mediums.
• Should also include knowledge in all peripheral equipment.
• Nortel, Cisco, Microsoft and/or product/vendor certifications are required.
• Lastly, strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, email, database, Internet search) are a must.
• The candidate should demonstrate abilities in self- motivation, communication and teamwork.
• The resource must be skilled in English oral and written communications so as to work in customer consultative and problem solving situations with and in support of Sales.
• They must be able to design, propose and convey complex technical design information in response to customer need and in support of a strategic Verizon customer account plan.
• They must possess superior closing skills as they, in many cases, will serve as the technical closer on an account opportunity.

Subject Matter Expert – Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) - Singapore

Key responsibilities include;
·         Working with the Sales teams to help them more effectively develop and manage customer opportunities
·         Work with customers throughout the sales cycle representing a consultative engagement
·         Understand and become aware of the risks and control issues associated with the opportunity
·         Training and communication applied on the subject of expertise
·         Process and practices required to develop specific opportunities and solutions
·         Leverage best practices to make processes more effective and efficient
·         Degree of compliance to internal policy and external laws and regulations
·         UC&C Solution Specific elements to look for ;
o        Vendor certifications eg. Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft
o        Technology Experiences - WAN, LAN, WLAN, Voice, Video, Conferencing, CRM, CCS, Mobility
o        Solution Architecture - ITIL, CoBit, TOGAF including integration experiences for non-standard and complex solutions
o        Program Management - Governance and Project Management
o        General Career Experiences and Customer Engagements on an APAC or global level.

Typical Customer Engagements;
·         Provision of a broad range of communication services and solutions scoped around the service lifecycle management ie think like a CIO
·         IP based technology service blocks ie WAN, LAN, WLAN, Voice and Video that addresses
o        how each service blocks fits together
o        the tools required to implement and operate
o        a common naming convention
o        a list of recommended standards and compliant products that can be used to implement the building blocks
·         Target End State discussions will include
o        Single, seamless network infrastructure and management platform
o        Information can be shared
o        Communications conducted
o        Resources connected
·         Leverages a common communications protocol
o        Enables real time communications presented over a consistent user interface and user experience across multiple devices and media types
·         Architectural End State
o        Effectively scale and access expertise across functional, geographic, and company boundaries
o        Globally limited resources and knowledge can be optimized with reliable, flexible communication channels
o        Changing the way all resources interact and work offers new uses that can transform business process that creates business value

Qualifications include,
·         Bachelor’s / Master’s degree required.
·         Direct and successful unified communications and collaboration sales experience with responsibility for product sales and revenue growth is required.
·         Preferred individual would have a systems integrator background in a relevant technology related field.
·         Additional qualifications include excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and the ability to negotiate with large customers.

Enterprise Solution Sales Manager - Permanent Opportunity with Verizon Business, Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:
·         Understanding the customers’ businesses and identify the business requirements and sales opportunities.
·         Ability to plan sales strategies and identify potential clients in the assigned territory through comprehensive Accounts Plans.
·         Identify and build relationships with key client’s stakeholders and business partners at a senior level.
·         Work closely with the Solution Engineers, Solution Architects, Subject Matter Expects to develop complex solutions to address business opportunities and client’s need.
·         You must also able to create opportunities and pitch to potential clients Verizon Solutions, the rational behind the solutions and the impact and the positive results of the solutions. All done through value creation solution selling versus product selling.

·         A degree or higher with more than 10 years of solid sales experience in the IT industry. Preferably with Global Services, Software, SI experience.
·         Proven track record in managing a team (8 - 10) and leading large / global accounts in the region.
·         Soft skills such as excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer satisfaction focus and must be a team player
·         You will also need to display some form of leadership/mentorship capabilities and be able to take a lead in any project task to you.
·         Ability to communicate with "C" level senior stakeholders
·         Strong negotiation and closing skills
