Clearvision SME - Work with Fortune Investment Bank, Singapore

Main Function of the Role:
Delivery of projects to support business expansion in APAC markets via configuration and upgrades of SunGard's Clearvision software and associated modules.

Main Duties:
• Analysis of business, client and exchange driven requirements and creating appropriate design documentation to agree scope for prioritization
• Preparing and performing system testing within Clearvision, ensuring completion of downstream feeds and documenting results
• Managing work items through to completion, ensuring requirements are met and delivered on time and to specification
• Assist in 3rd line production support requests as a domain knowledge expert


• Very strong technical understanding of SunGard’s Clearvision application and associated modules, with 3+ years hands-on experience
• 3+ years hands-on experience developing applications that use Oracle 11g as the DBMS
• Knowledge of Object REXX programming language
• Hands-on experience of ClearCase or other enterprise source control tool
• Strong understanding of exchange traded Futures and Options settlement and STP processes

• Good understanding of back office systems operated across major APAC Futures exchanges
• Working knowledge of RANsys and GMI books & records systems
• 2+ years hands-on experience developing applications in Visual Basic

Support Analyst - Risk IT, Investment Bank, Singapore.

This role has emerged as part of the drive to make Risk IT Support emulate a ‘Follow the Sun” (FTS) support model. Working in the capacity as a support analyst, he/ she will be part of the production support team that transitions support capability to Asia across multiple locations.


• Must have greater than 6 yrs of IT experience, experience in the financial service industry
• Must have done development for at least 2-3 yrs
• Must have worked and supported Risk Managers / Risk users for at least 3-4 yrs.
• Preferably from the Risk IT or Front office IT of an Investment bank OR Preferably 3-4 yrs in an Investment bank

Technical Competence:

• Unix environment knowledge and commands
• Scripting in Unix and Perl
• PL / SQL and working on Sybase environment
• Good knowledge of scheduler like Autosys or Control M
• Working knowledge of grid computing
• Data synapse knowledge
• Prior experience of coding on C, C++ environments
• Knowledge of VB and / or VBA

The production support activities are listed below :

• Develop a good understanding of Risk systems and data flow from front to back.
• Support a suite of Risk applications that would involve user query resolution and batch monitoring.
• Monitoring of batches to ensure OLA’s and SLE’s are met and to resolve any incidents in the batch in a timely manner to ensure systems are Ready for Business (RFB) for Asia.
• Analysis of user queries and resolution
• Engagement with the L3 and development teams on a regular basis and appropriate escalation of critical queries.
• Owning production incidents and ensuring appropriate closure (includes incident communication, root cause analysis & permanent resolution).
• A proactive approach to get things done with minimal supervision.
• Should be able to manage pressure and multi-task.
• Travel requirements: On need basis (5% - 10%)

Java Developer with FIX Protocol - Top Tier1 Bank, Singapore.

This role is a front office business & client facing Senior Java developer with FIX, We need strong development background covering Java, FIX, Multithreading, Connectivity, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and Linux.

• 5+ years of commercial experience, preferably in a front office environment
• At least 1+ years of client focused and client facing technical on-boarding experience in a front office environment
• Strong knowledge of FIX protocol, FIX engines and electronic trading systems utilizing the protocol.
• Excellent knowledge of Java and SQL and open source technologies like Spring
• Solid knowledge of internet and connectivity technologies and tools, including SSL, tunneling, leased lines etc and
• Good OO design skills in n-tier architectures
• Experience with multiple OS - Windows, Unix and Linux
• Experience of source control and build tools – preferably CVS/Subversion, maven

Working spoken and written ability in Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese) and Japanese would be an advantage.

• Java Development on large scale, high volume, multi threaded server side front office systems.
• Design and develop the electronic trading business and technology platforms, preferably in the FX markets.

Support Analyst - Major Investment Bank, Singapore.

• Above 5 years of information technology experience in complex technology and business environments
• Experience in Investment banking is a major plus
• Oracle, Linux, Perl/Shell Scripting, TIBCO BE, Dot Net, Java, Windows – Ability to debug and write code
• Strong database fundamentals and working knowledge in SQL queries
• Knowledge of the scheduler like Autosys or Control-M

The Support Analyst will be responsible for:
• Supporting and managing key systems with Primary responsibilities.
• Assisting with planning and testing Disaster Recovery (DR) for key Processing systems
• Liaising with key system suppliers to provide technical input
• Training other members of the Support team and Batch Operations
• Assisting with meeting compliance requirements, such as Audits etc

• Level 1 & 2 Support for Application Batches and Business/IT users
• Ability to debug the complex code units i.e. stored procedures, TIBCO code, Dot Net code and Java code
• Provide Batch & global user support
• Monitor the health of batch processes and work at investigating failures / anomalies.
• Escalate incidents/issues to higher-level support or mgmt as appropriate
• Escalate and coordinate the issues with Development teams
• Be involved in incident and problem management is a must
• Be involved in BCM testing
• Shift work is required with call-out support on the weekend
• Willingness to work outside normal working hours and be on a 24x7 rota
• Participate in release testing and release deployment
