Technology Manager (Midrange Application Support) - Fortune Bank in Singapore

This role is within the Payments/Treasury technology team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team providing production support and maintenance of midrange applications across multiple technology platforms.

Experience required
§         8 - 10 years industry experience, minimum 3-4 years in application support role including team management responsibilities.
§         Minimum 4+ years experience of most or all of C/C++, Java, Application and Infrastructure architecture and midrange platforms.
§         Demonstrable experience of working to resolution complex issues involving multiple groups. Strong analytical skills required and should have a natural ability to research and resolve complex systems, application and user issues.
§         Proven leadership experience, ability to motivate teams and drive execution, with performance driven with the necessary intensity and optimism to succeed and deliver.
§         Must possess outstanding organizational skills, including ability to rearrange teams and radically re-engineer department processes.

The following would also be advantageous:
§         Understanding of Six Sigma and Enterprise Change Management Methodologies.
§         Experience with Agile / eXtreme Programming project methodology and development teams desirable.
§         Experience in treasury management or payments service platforms.
§         Experience of Real Time Problem Management
§         Experience of working in a large financial organisation.
§         Experience of project management

§         Leverage in-depth midrange (Unix, Windows, VMS, C/C++, Java, Infrastructure) technical skills to resolve production and application issues – this is a hands-on technical production support role.
§         Apply deep technical insights and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support production issues, environmental failures and related management decisions.
§         Provide ad-hoc design, analysis and code fix support as part of the day to day support team for urgent business issues and enhancement work requests.
§         Participate in Real Time problem management conference calls and help to steer towards a swift resolution of issues.
§         Must be willing to go on overnight support (management escalation and technical support) + weekend support/management oversight responsibilities as required.
§         Must be able to manage production issues hands on – on specific platforms and applications where there are resource gaps.
§         Line management responsibilities of associates including performance management, associate development and feedback, talent planning and resource management, along with recruitment and augmentation of contractors as necessary.
§         Take accountability for applications including updating of application database with current information, and ensure business continuity tests are undertaken and supported.
§         Continually challenge the team and look for ways to improve system stability including monitoring opportunities, bug fixes, application changes
§         Produce regular, thorough and accurate team and production status reports tailored for the target audience - from technical project team member to Management. Participate in meetings with Management and provide appropriate input and feedback.
§         Ensure application changes are tracked, managed and follow the necessary project/change/compliance processes.
§         Responsible for performing and updating various tools and systems with audit, compliance and risk related routine administration and mandatory follow-ups.
§         Close liaison with change management, the business community, technical groups within the company globally and external vendors.
