Technology Manager (Midrange Application Support) - Fortune Bank in Singapore

This role is within the Payments/Treasury technology team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team providing production support and maintenance of midrange applications across multiple technology platforms.

Experience required

§         8 - 10 years industry experience, minimum 3-4 years in application support role including team management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

§         Leverage in-depth midrange (Unix, Windows, VMS, C/C++, Java, Infrastructure) technical skills to resolve production and application issues – this is a hands-on technical production support role.

§         Apply deep technical insights and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support production issues, environmental failures and related management decisions.

§         Provide ad-hoc design, analysis and code fix support as part of the day to day support team for urgent business issues and enhancement work requests.

Business Analyst (Frontier/IntelliMatch/SmartStream) - AVP Role in Singapore

The Resource will work with the Global reconciliations Team along with the other Business and Technical analysts to analyze, design, validate, build, test, implement and document the project.

Essential

§         Proven experience of design & implementation of Reconciliation solutions in a enterprise Banking or Hedge Fund environment : Specific experience of Cash and Securities Reconciliation; Out of Proof management & resolution

§         Knowledge and Operational experience in a typical project lifecycle, including analysis and testing

§         Extensive knowledge (3+yrs) of an existing Reconciliations product. Ideally this should be Checkfree Recon+ / Frontier or Sungard intelliMATCH, but other product knowledge may be acceptable, including SmartStream

Preferred

§         A knowledge of basic reconciliation building (cash and stock), import formats, configuring match rules, reporting, ‘Recons’ etc would be an advantage, although some dedicated and more technical development staff will be available in the team

§         Operational experience in a Banking Operations Control department, or Control & Risk department. The role could easily suit someone from the business and operations side of reconciliations with experience of working with technology teams

§         Ability to SQL query the reconciliation databases would be useful

Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

§         Working with the Global Recon Team, Risk and Integrity Team and end Business Users to deliver a comprehensive suite of reconciliations that meet the business’ need.

§         Assist with analysis around the existing recs and work with other team members to build, test and measure the improvements being planned

§         Document and obtain approval for the new rec designs and test plans from the relevant business and technology stakeholders

§         Work with the business, technology and the Risk and Integrity team to implement any Audit and Control related work relating to these reconciliations

§         Assist in development of Training and Migration packs for users

The resource will be part of a Database administration team working to support datawarehouse of mainframe Metadata.
